Zavratnica walk from Jablanac & upper viewpoint
There are two principal walking approaches to Zavratnica: the coastal path from Jablanac and the steeper descent from Zavratnica village. The park lists trail lengths of 1.8 km and 800 m respectively, with around 150 m of elevation change on the upper route. Choose by terrain and your return plan, not distance alone.

How long does the walk take?
The park’s visitor page gives around 20 minutes from Jablanac; its trail page mentions 15 minutes. Treat these as short approach estimates, not a time guarantee for the entire listed trail, exploring the bay and returning.
Give yourself a generous margin for your pace, heat, uneven stone and stops. The upper route is shorter on paper but includes a descent and, if you retrace it, a climb. Do not compare the routes by kilometres alone.

These are walking paths rather than an accessible seafront promenade. Uneven stone, exposed edges and steps can be difficult with limited mobility or a pushchair. The park lists the trail as not accessible to people with disabilities.
Keep children close beside the water and drops. Wear grippy footwear, take drinking water and turn back if conditions exceed your ability. Check current access with the park when you have specific mobility needs.
